Who we are

What data we process

The website has no forms, user accounts or online payments. We only receive personal data when you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email: your name, phone number or email address, the dates of your stay, the number of guests and any other details you choose to share.

On arrival, we process the identity details required by Romanian law for registering guests at tourist accommodation.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider's servers automatically log technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, to keep the website running and secure.

Why we process it

To answer your questions and manage your booking: steps prior to entering a contract and performing it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and guest registration requirements (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

To keep the website secure, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not use your data for marketing and we never sell it.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. The website only stores your chosen theme (light or dark) in your browser.

The map in the contact section is loaded directly from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies under its privacy policy.

Third-party services

Google Maps shows the map with the property's location.

Google Business Profile: we use the Google Business Profile API only to read the public reviews left for our property on Google and display them on the website, together with the author's public name. We do not access any other Google account data and we do not share it with anyone.

WhatsApp: if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, the conversation is also subject to WhatsApp's privacy policy.

Our hosting provider processes the technical data described above.

How long we keep data

We keep messages for as long as we need them to answer you and manage your stay. Accounting records and the guest register are kept for the period required by law.

If an author edits or deletes their Google review, we update or remove it on the website as well.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format, or object to its processing. To do so, write to us at contact@hillnest.ro.

If you believe we are infringing your rights, you can lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).

Changes

If we change the way we process data, we will update this page and the date above.
